A summertime cold front is on its way, and it couldn’t be coming at a better time. Dallas-Fort Worth on Thursday recorded its hottest temperature of the year.
DFW International Airport reached 103 degrees at 3:50 p.m., meteorologist Jason Dunn with the National Weather Service said.
But after an August that’s so far seen nothing but triple-digit highs, the sweaty masses are about to get an unseasonable break.
The front will move in from the Plains on Saturday afternoon and bring with it cooler temperatures and a chance of rain, Dunn said.
